While it’s great to do something different once in a while, there is something quite comforting in having a set routine. And as a very nosy person, I love hearing about what others get up to during the day so when I came across the AM & PM Routine, created by The Celution, I thought it would be fun to share with you my own little routine.
AM
1. What is your morning beauty routine?
My beauty routine is quite simple. I start by using a few drops of the Garnier Micelar Water to clean my skin. Although I always take my make up off the night before, I never skip this step to get rid of some impurities that might build up during the night. Then I go for the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo+, an oil-free moisturizer. And that’s pretty much it.
When it comes to my hair, I usually create some loose curls since I find it’s a great way to tame my wild and frizzy hair.

2. What’s for breakfast?
Lately I’ve been having Oatly chocolate oat drink with toast. Cow milk has been messing up with my stomach and skin so I’ve been slowly trying to find an alternative – which has been challenging. But I recently found this one and it’s very good, you can hardly tell it’s oat milk. On weekends I often replace the milk with some natural orange juice which I love!
3. Coffee or tea?
This might be a shock for some of you, but neither. I’m not a fan of the herbal taste of tea or the strong taste of coffee. Plus, coffee makes me even more anxious than I already am. But, I had a sip of ginger tea at my yoga class the other day and it was very tasty – must try to recreate it at home!
4. How long does it take you to get out the door?
My alarm goes off at 6h30 and after 5/10 minutes I finally gather the courage to get out of bed. I’m heading out the door at around 7h35 so I would say I need an hour to get ready. It might seem quite a lot but I don’t like to rush in the morning. I enjoy having time to get ready, do my hair and make up while watching a couple of youtube videos, and not feel stressed because I’m running out of time.

5. What is your go-to make up look on a fuss-free morning?
To be completely honest, my make up is always fuss-free. I start by doing my eyebrows with the Anastasia Brow Powder Duo, then move on to the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer which I apply to cover my dark circles, and finish it off by applying L’Óreal False Lash Extensions mascara.
PM
6. Snack time! What’s in the bowl?
If I’m at work, I usually snack on cookies and a banana. If I’m home, I might snack on cereal or cake. Very healthy, I know!
7. What is your evening beauty routine?
My evening routine is pretty much the same as my morning routine. I start by removing my make up with the Garnier Micelar Water and move on to theLa Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo+ – I’m actually on the hunt for a richer moisturizer for the night time, though, because I’ve noticed my skin has been quite dehydrated lately. The last step is to apply the Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment.

8. How do you wind down and prep for bed?
My process to wind down starts with a good meal and the preparation of my work lunch. I then take a shower since I couldn’t imagine waking up 15 minutes earlier to shower in the morning. Then I will either browse through Facebook, watch some Youtube videos or a tv show – lately it’s been Gilmore Girls and I’m adoring it -, or work on my blog for a little while.
Right before going to sleep, I like to switch off by picking up a book. I’m currently reading the third book in The Selection series, an easy read that helps me wind down. Another great way to wind down is yoga, I have a class every monday at 9 pm and it gets me relaxed and ready for a good night of sleep.
9. Cozy up! What are you wearing to sleep?
Since the weather is now quite cold, I’ve wearing flannel bottoms from Primark, a fluffy sweater from Oysho and two pairs of socks since my feet get very cold. Fancy outfit, I know!
10. What are some things you must do before hitting the hay?
I check the weather and try to pick my outfit the night before which doesn’t happen everyday, to be honest. I then set my alarm, apply lip balm – Maybelline Baby Lips – and grab my book for a few minutes. Then it’s time to turn off the lights.
Would love to know what you get up to during the day! Feel free to reply to any of these questions in the comment section or share a link if you already did the TAG 🙂

I’ve swapped cow’s milk for almond milk since a few years ago! // I’m alwayssss snacking on bananas 😛 My friends always swipe them for me from the dining hall <3 // This was such a fun read! 😀 -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey’s
I’ve tried it once but wasn’t a big fan, might give it another go! Thank you, Audrey 🙂 x
The Garnier micellar water is an important part of my nightly routine before, but I’ve never thought of using it in the morning. I work shifts and never have to get up too early, so I like to do a proper cleanse with water and my Liz Earle cleanse and polish kit in the morning to help wake me up. I’m so nosy too and I LOVE reading things like this, they always help inspire me to make more of a set routine in my life

I love the micellar water because I’m very lazy and it is very easy & quick to apply. But I’ve heard many great things about the Liz Earle kit and would love to give it a go! I feel the same way, it’s so interesting to discover people’s routines 🙂 x
This is such a great tag! I love quiet slow mornings to wake up slowly too, this is the only time of day when I have a moment to myself so I make it last! I also shower at night as I like jumping into bed all fresh!

Thank you, Hanh! Yes, that’s what I love about mornings, the me time 🙂 x
Yes, someone else who showers in the evenings! People have commented on how strange to not do it in the morning, but it saves times, and I can wash they day off! Totally with you on a leisurely morning. Having time to do your makeup and just relax is the best way to start the day!

Yes, totally agree, love washing the day off and going to bed feeling refreshed and clean! Plus, we can sleep for a few more minutes in the morning 🙂 x
I also love taking my time to get ready in the morning, even if it means waking up earlier. Having leisure morning makes me feel like having all the time in the world, and, yes to watching youtube videos while doing makeups 😉

Right? It’s relaxing to have time for your routine in the morning and I feel like I’m in a much better mood if not rushing out the door. Glad to know I’m not the only one 🙂 x
