Most days I can’t really be bothered with applying too many beauty products so my makeup routine is very minimal featuring just a few essentials. That being said, I thought it would be interesting to share what I’m currently using to achieve a quick and low-maintenance makeup that makes me feel better and look a bit more awake. So, whether you like no-fuss makeup or need to run out the door, here are some beauty products that I always keep on hand!
My Minimal Everyday Makeup Routine

Step One – Moisturizer
After cleansing my skin with Simple Kind To Skin Micellar Water, the next step of my beauty routine is to moisturize my face and my eye area. I’ve been using Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream and Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment With Avocado for the last few years and besides keeping my skin hydrated, they are the perfect base for my make up. Mainly the eye cream, which helps my concealer set better and not crease.
Before starting with my makeup, another step I don’t miss is lip balm so that my lips are hydrated when the time comes to apply lipstick. I’m currently using Kiehl’s Buttermask For Lips which I got a few days ago. It’s supposed to be an overnight treatment but I’ve been using it as a regular lip balm and it’s great!

Step Two – Brows
When it comes to my makeup, I always start with brows. I like my brows naturally defined and to achieve that I use Anastasia Brow Wiz in Medium Brown – it’s actually my third one, I believe. After using the pencil to fill in my eyebrows, I go with the spoolie to blend for a natural-looking finish.
Step Three – Concealer
My biggest issue is my dark circles. They’re there no matter how much or how little I sleep, making me look exhausted. Anyone else?
To cover them up I’ve been using Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer – uau that’s a mouthful! I apply it under my eyes, on my eyelids, and on any other area that needs to be concealed and then I blend it in with my ring finger. It goes on smoothly, has great coverage, and doesn’t sink into my undereye wrinkles throughout the day. However, I believe keeping my eye area hydrated with the help of an eye cream also helps.
Step Four – Mascara
My favorite part – applying mascara. I’m very lucky to have long lashes anyway but mascara still makes a big difference. If I don’t feel like applying any makeup but still want to look a bit more put together and awake, I apply mascara and instantly feel way better. My current favorite is L’Oréal Telescopic False Lash Mascara. I’ve been using it for a couple of years and it makes my eyelashes look longer and fuller.
Step Five – Lipstick
The last step of my minimal everyday make up routine is to apply lipstick. I used to hate it a few years ago but now I love it – is it just me?
In the picture below, I believe I’m wearing Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Pillow Talk but my current favorite is actually Kiko Cosmetics Creamy Color Comfort Lip Liner in 315 Intense Mauve which has the most beautiful pink mauve color and as the name suggests is comfortable to wear.

I wish I could say doing this makeup only takes me about 5 minutes but I would be lying. I honestly don’t understand how people can do a full makeup routine in less than 10 minutes. How?! Despite using only a few products, it always takes me a bunch of time to do my makeup, probably because I’m a perfectionist and I’m not that good at it so I have to really focus to get it right – mostly when I’m doing my mascara as I tend to either sneeze or accidentally blink 🙄
What are your current favorite beauty products?

You look so pretty and glowing in that picture 🙂 That’s a great make-up routine!
I am definitely not a morning person and I am trying to save as much time in the morning so I can have an extra snooze – my make-up routine was one of the first things I cut down on and it is quite similar to yours! 🙂
I love Kiehl’s ultrafacial cream, I think it is the best moisturiser I’ve ever tried along with Weleda’s skin food!

I love the sound of this Urban Decay concealer! I don’t like wearing anything too heavy under my eyes, but this sounds perfect x
