When you spend hours commuting to and from work everyday, you start thinking of new ways to make your journey more enjoyable. And listening to inspiring podcasts has been a favorite way to productively spend my time.
I’ve been introduced to the world of podcasts by my friend Sam and I’ve been addicted ever since. They can both entertain and inspire us through some amazing conversations. Another reason that makes podcasts so amazing is the fact that you don’t have to sit down to watch an episode. You can be stuck in traffic, running outside or cleaning your house while listening to a podcast.
Whether you want to give it a try or simply find new ones to listen to, I’m sharing 9 inspiring podcasts that will hopefully improve your morning commute.
9 Inspiring Podcasts That Will Improve Your Morning Commute
The Life Coach School by Brooke Castillo introduced me to the world of podcasts and it has been a favorite ever since. Although it is aimed at life coaches, see it as a tool to teach yourself how you can be your own coach. One of the most important lessons I’ve learned from Brooke was: “your thoughts create your feelings, your feelings create your actions and your actions create your results”. Definitely something to have in mind daily.
I’m pretty sure I listened to every single episode from Jess Lively’s podcast. From the interviews with inspiring guests to her monthly favorites, I love them all. A few months ago she embarked on a incredible journey in Europe – Eat, Pray & Love kind of style – and it was great to follow her journey and the lessons she learned through her podcast.
Katie Dalebout sounds like such a beautiful human. Listening to her podcast is like talking with a friend, she is relatable and friendly while giving great advice. Katie recently wrote a book called Let It Out: A Journey Through Journaling where she helps people gain clearity through journaling.
Self-Love, The Beauty of Single-Tasking & Mastering Your Mean Girl with Melissa Ambrosini | Connie Chapman on Intuition, Following Your Purpose and Starting Something That Matters | Finding Your Voice & Living Your Passion with Lucy Bourchier
Connie Chapman is a life coach that will inspire you to live a life you love from the inside out, from moving over fear to creating an intentional life. Listening to her podcast always makes me feel inspired and peaceful!
If you’re a twenty-something struggling with not having your life all figured out (who does, anyway?), you need to listen to Millennial. “Millennial is a podcast about what people never teach you – how to maneuver your 20s”. What makes this podcast so unique is how it sounds like a tv show following Megan’s life through her ups and downs. Her vulnerability is inspiring, showing us how we are all struggling to figure our life out.
“Hear soul-sitting stories from our own community of creatives.” This is a recent discovery for me. Created by Kayla Hollatz, this podcast’s purpose is to make you believe that you have a creative spirit inside you through inspiring conversations with fierce creatives.
Run by Cat & Ingrid, two Youtube stars, it explores very important topics in a humorous yet serious way. From making friends as an adult to being an introvert in an extroverted world, the girls share their own experiences in a very honest way.
Hosted by Aileen, The Lavendaire Lifestyle is the podcast on “lifestyle design for millennials”. Aileen starts by talking about her own experience on a certain topic and then moves to sharing a few actionable tips to help us deal with it. Listening to her calm voice, always makes me feel more positive and inspired.
After reading Big Magic, I fell in love with Elizabeth Gilbert all over again, so you can probably image how happy I was when I discovered Magic Lessons. This podcast covers the fear that comes with creativity, exploring real stories of creatives who are struggling to unleash their creativity.
