I bought my first makeup bit right before high school prom. It was a concealer pen and a mascara from L’Oréal. Before that, I didn’t even use lip balm as I disliked how it felt on my lips – it’s funny how I always have one with me now.
As I was always very lucky with my skin, aside from the occasional breakout, I wasn’t too fussed about applying makeup to cover it up. Then uni started and I discovered the world of beauty vloggers, which led to a small obsession with makeup and skincare – something that would shock my sixteen-year-old self.
But over the last few years, I learned to value quality over quantity. Now, my daily makeup routine has no more than three steps with the occasional lipstick every now and then. It features well-loved products that I’ve repurchased over and over again.
My Easy & Quick Daily Make Up Routine
Step One // Eyebrows
The Anastasia Brow Powder Duo in Dark Brown is definitely my most well-loved product as it has been with me for years and it’s still going strong. This brow powder has two different shades of brown: I use the lighter shade in the inner, thicker section of the brow while adding the darker shade in the outer area. I love how doing my brows completely transforms my face, making it look more put together.
Step Two // Eyes
Step two is concealer because I suffer from pretty bad dark circles no matter how much I sleep and without it, my face looks super tired and dull. My favorite way to cover it up is with the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer and I’m already on my second tube – so you can see how much I love it.
Step Three // Lashes
If I don’t feel like wearing any makeup but still want to look a little bit more awake, I put on the L’Oréal False Lash Extensions Mascara. The wand is great and it gives me long, voluminous lashes without clumping. This is usually the last step of my daily make up routine as I prefer to keep things simple.
Step Four // Lips
Aside from lip balm, which is always with me, I like to add a lipstick every now and then, mostly on weekends. Lately, I’ve been loving the Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick in Pillow Talk. Although I slightly prefer the shade of the lip liner from the same range, the lipstick is more moisturizing.
