It’s been 6 months since I wrote the very first post on Notes from Joana. I’m so glad I took that decision and now have my little space on the Internet where I can escape reality & share my passions with you. This blog has changed a bit since december and it’s nice to see things evolving while I try to find my personal voice in the blogging community.
So, to celebrate this milestone, I decided to write the part 2 of my Confessions of a Newbie Blogger – you can read the first part here. Here they are:
I always take the photographs before writing a post.
I’m a visual person & a photography lover which means that most of the times, I actually pay more attention to the pictures than to the article itself. Even when writing my own blogposts, I usually take the photos first since it gives me a visual support to take inspiration from.
I edit my pictures with VSCO.
Speaking of photography, I have to admit that I edit my pictures with the VSCO app on my dad’s Ipad. Yes, I know it’s not ideal for blog photos but I can’t teach myself how to properly work with photoshop and VSCO it’s just so convenient & easy to work with!
Blogging takes a lot more work that people think.
Some people outside the blogging world think blogging is easy-peasy. But no, it takes a lot of work & a few hours of the day, specially for a perfectionist like me. So it’s so frustrating when people think that blogging is all about taking a couple of photos, write a few paragraphs et voilà, no big deal!
I dream about one day being able to work full time on my blog.
I didn’t start this blog to earn money, free products or to become “famous” at all. I wanted to have my own voice & share everything I love with other people with the same interests as I – that’s the beauty of blogging! But I do have this thought on the back of my mind about being able to work full time on Notes from Joana. That would be one of my dream jobs for sure!
I want to finish this post by thanking each & everyone of you who reads, comments or follows Notes from Joana. You have no idea what that means to me. I love to blog just by itself but it’s amazing to get your feedback and know that you enjoy reading it or even relate to what I write. It makes me really happy and I appreciate your support. Even when I go days without blogging, you’re still here. Thank you so much!!
