Three months ago I started this blog. I’ve had a few blogs before but I restricted them to one topic and eventually I would get bored and stop. Now everything is different because I know that I don’t want to blog just about beauty or fashion but about everything I enjoy and makes me happy.
And since I’m a newbie blogger, I decided to write some of my confessions about blogging. I saw this post by Catherine from The Blissful Mind and it really inspired me to write my own. Hope you enjoy!
Confessions of a Newbie Blogger
I never switch off from blogging.
I feel like I’m constantly thinking about my blog. Wether about blogpost ideas, photos I need to take or even ways to improve this little space. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t see this as a bad thing, on the contrary. Blogging has become a hobby and it’s something I truly enjoy to do and that brings me a lot of joy.
It makes me anxious to think that people I know might find my blog.
It’s not that I’m ashamed of my blog but I still don’t feel comfortable about people I know finding it just yet because I’m afraid of what they will think. I actually told my parents (the only people that know) about my blog this weekend and they reacted pretty well!
I don’t have a defined niche.I keep coming across blogs that talk about the importance of finding a niche. I believe the most important thing is to blog about what you love. I personally have lots of passions and don’t want to restrict my blog to only one topic.
Sometimes it’s hard to find the motivation.
Blogging is one of my passions and I have all these ideas in my head but sometimes it’s hard to find motivation to seat down and write a post. I’m a perfectionist + a procrastinator, which is a bad combination because when I don’t know how to start writing a post, I tend to procrastinate (I don’t know if that makes sense to you).
It genuinely makes my day when I get a new comment or follower.
I could say that I would still love blogging even if no one read my blog. But, to be completely honest, I would be lying. It’s nice to know that I’m not writing just for myself, that someone is on the other side of the screen and that people enjoy my content enough to leave some nice words. So, thank you!I would love to know some of your blogger confessions
