The most wonderful time of the year is here! The season of cozy, family gatherings, evenings spent in front of the fireplace and lots of cinnamon treats. It also means the year is coming to an end and, can you believe we are only one month away from 2017?
Meanwhile, it’s time for another installment of my monthly goals. Let’s do a little recap and find out my three new goals for December, the last month of 2016.
1. Take a me day.
I finally had a week off from work this week and it has been lovely! Most of the week was spent in my pajamas all day working on my blog, watching Gilmore Girls and lots of baking delicious treats. I was really in need of some time to wind down and be on my own to recharge batteries.
2. Publish a blog post once a week.
I skipped the first week after setting myself this goal – well done, Joana haha. But, if we ignore that, I published a blog post every week since then!
3. Start a gratitude journal.
To help me with this goal, I bought the 5 Minute Journal, which I had been eyeing for a while. If you never heard about it, it’s a journal whose intention is to remind you to be grateful. Every morning, you list three things you’re grateful for, three things that would make your day great and a daily affirmation. Every evening, you write down three amazing things that happened and something you could have done to make your day better. It has been such a lovely way to start and end the day on a positive note!
3 Goals for December
1. Spend some time offline.
In December, I want to embrace the festive season and enjoy some time offline. From visiting Christmas markets to trying new hobbies, as knitting and calligraphy, to enjoying the company of my loved ones.
2. Get up when the alarm goes off.
I have the terrible habit of snoozing my alarm, and when I do manage to wake up, I grab my phone to check out social media. I’ve noticed that every time I do that, I feel even more tired. That being said, I’m challenging myself to get up as soon as my alarm goes off and take those 10 extra minutes to do something more productive in the morning.
3. Take better care of my skin.
Lately, I haven’t been treating my skin properly and because of that, it looks very tired and dehydrated. To fix that, I got some new products that I’m excited to try. My goal is to stick to a little morning and evening routine and start taking better care of my skin.
