I also think it’s important to look at how much you’ve changed & what you’ve learned a long the way and try to incorporate it into the new year. That’s why I decided to write this blogpost.
15 LESSONS I LEARNED IN 2015
1 | Not everyone will understand your dreams so you need to be your first supporter.
2 | It’s okay if you don’t know what you want to do in the future. It takes time.
3 | Good things only happen if you believe they will. Believe is actually my word for the new year.
4 | I’ve learned to accept and embrace being an introvert, instead of feeling like it’s a bad thing I need to change.
5 | Don’t let fear keep you away from achieving big things.
6 | It’s okay to be a homebody and pick staying home on a friday night over going out to a club. It’s good that not everyone likes the same things.
7 | You’re never too old to start liking One Direction or Justin Bieber’s music. It’s actually good, give it a try!
8 | The friends you should treasure the most are the ones you don’t see for weeks but when you meet, it’s like you were never apart.
9 | At the same time, people change, so does your friendships. Sometimes you grow apart and stop having so many things in common, it’s part of life.
10 | Focus on doing things that bring you joy.
11 | When you’re feeling stressed or having a bad day, it’s completely acceptable to indulge and eat an overpriced ice cream just because it’s your favorite!
12 | Don’t rely on other people to make you happy or make you feel like you’re enough. It needs to come from within.
13 | It’s not selfish to put yourself first sometimes. It’s healthy and good for you. Listen to your own thoughts and needs.
14 | It’s okay to be a reserved person but sometimes it feels good to open up & let out those feelings you keep to yourself.
15 | Always feel grateful for the life, people and opportunities you have. It’s great to strive for more but don’t forget to be thankful.
